The Erasmus+ programme supports activities related to education, training, youth and sports in all sectors of lifelong learning, including Higher Education, Professional Training, Adult Education, School Education, Activities for young people and training within amateur Sports.
It was created on the basis of the Erasmus initiative, known for the opportunities it provides to university students and higher education teaching staff, in terms of mobility for purposes of learning, traineeship or training.
For more information, see the Agência Nacional Erasmus+.
The Almeida Garrett Programme, set up by the Council of Rectors of Portuguese Universities (CRUP), aims to promote the quality and reinforce the national dimension of Higher Education.
As part of students’ mobility, this programme offers the chance to undertake a study period, with full academic recognition, in a Portuguese public university.
Students interested in an academic stay at the Instituto de Educação under an exchange programme should obtain the agreement of a teacher of the Institute to act as supervisor of their activities.
To formalise their interest they should address a request to the Director of the Institute with their identification and desired date of stay, together with a work plan and a declaration of acceptance by the supervisor. Carrying out these academic traineeships implies registering as a student of the Instituto de Educação, and attention must be paid to the specific regulations in the case of Sandwich PhD Programmes of another University.
