The Network for Gender Equality, Inclusion and Non-Discrimination (RIIND) consists of a set of Commissions for Gender Equality, Inclusion and Non-Discrimination (CIIND) created in each School, in the University Administration, and in the Social Service of Universidade de Lisboa. The main goals of RIIND are to create mechanisms, structures and a culture that allow:

a) an effective equality of opportunities and inclusion in university life of those with fewer resources or present some form of disability or impairment, and

b) the fight against all forms of discrimination, whether based on sex and gender identity, or on other aspects such as sexual orientation, ethno-racial condition, religion or belief, nationality, social group or political opinion.

Thus, the CIIND will participate in the development of management/governance tools aiming to the implementation of measures to promote equality and inclusion, and the assessment of their effectiveness through the use of relevant indicators.
