The Ibero-American Network for the Development of Teacher Professional identity (RIDIPD) comprises Ibero-American, Portuguese and Spanish educational institutions, concerned with the theme of teacher professional development and an (initial and continuous) teacher education which promotes the sense of responsibility, professional commitment, didactic-curricular knowledge necessary to professional practice, and in a close connection with the particularities and the context of action. Overall, the Network holds as main axes the Pedagogy of Alterity (Enmanuel Lévinas) and Civic Humanism (Alejandro Llano).
Seeking to offer knowledge about the reality of each context and to foster actions of improvement, the Network aims at promoting:
- Post-graduations focused on the development of teacher professional identity;
- Joint doctoral initiatives and research between the member institutions;
- The mobility between the Network members, by means of missions and congresses, in order to value the sharing of (innovative) experiences and research results;
- The diffusion of the developed knowledge about teacher professional identity through diverse dissemination channels.
11/11/2019 (ongoing)
The network intends to disseminate the knowledge developed by its members, particularly: scientific publications, ongoing research projects, ongoing post-graduation programmes, scientific and scholarly events.
