In the first hour, we will explore the dimensions of CDIO* and how this idea, framework, and network can support quality development at engineering education institutions.
After the break, we will take a closer look at what it takes continuously improve educational programmes and courses in line with CDIO and developments in society, technology, and our student population. Working with a quick-scanning tool, you will get to know the principles of Curriculum Agility and consider which ones are important to discuss within your context.

Bio-notes

Reidar Lyng is an associate professor at The Dept. of Physics NTNU – Norwegian University of Science and Technology, presently residing expert on Education Development at the Centre for Science and Engineering Education Development at NTNU, with more than 30 years’ experience in education development from NTNU and several Swedish universities. Suzanne Brink is an associate professor in Higher Education Pedagogics and Distinguished Teacher at the Centre for Educational Development at Umeå University in Sweden. With her interdisciplinary background in Industrial Design Engineering and Educational Sciences, and over 20 years of experience in design engineering education in The Netherlands, she advices in a broad variety of higher education curriculum development processes and works with staff development.
